Principles
Research should maintain understanding.
New information matters only in relation to what was understood before. FIIAM is built to preserve that context, make material change visible, and keep the investor in control.
Maintained understanding
Research should not restart from zero.
- Prior understanding
- New evidence
- Material change
- Affected assumption or risk
- Uncertainty
- Valuation
- Review
01
Important changes should find you.
Not every update deserves equal attention. Change is understood relative to prior context so material review needs can become visible—without claiming guaranteed detection or comprehensive real-time coverage.
02
Evidence is not interpretation.
What is reported, what is derived, and what is interpreted remain distinct. Provenance matters, and interpretation is never presented as fact.
03
Uncertainty is a valid result.
A careful review may conclude: we do not yet know. That uncertainty should remain visible instead of being hidden behind fabricated precision.
04
Changed beliefs should connect to changed value.
Changed assumptions should connect coherently to changed valuation. Market Price is not Central Value. A Value Region is not a probability distribution, and Central Value is not a target price.
05
Research memory should preserve prior state.
The latest answer does not overwrite what came before. Research Memory is maintained investment understanding through time—not chat history, an activity history, or a notes feed.
06
AI assists. Investor decides.
AI may help organize evidence and research state. The research conclusion and any portfolio action remain distinct, and the investor remains responsible for both conclusions and decisions.
